At the start of 2015 I signed up to three bookish challenges! Here’s how I did including one surprise unexpected challenge!

At the start of 2015 I set my Goodreads Book Challenge. I went back and forth thinking of how many books I should set my goal at, but settled on 75 books although if I read one book a week I would be happy.
It is now the end of 2015 and here’s how I did…..
So I have read 63 books according to Goodreads in 2015!
This total is for fully finished and read books in 2015.
Here are the books I have read in 2015….
This does not include any books I have started reading and have not yet finished. Any I have started and not yet finished I will be deleting from my Currently Reading section on Goodreads. This totals 6 books that I have partially read.
This also does not include 1 book that I have beta read for a friend and 1 2016 book that I am lucky enough to have already read which I cannot currently add to Goodreads.
Although I didn’t hit my target I am still happy with what I have read in 2015 and 63 books is more than one book a week so I am a happy Chelley!
At the start of 2015 I saw the British Books Challenge going around twitter and I thought it was such a fab idea so I signed up to participate throughout 2015!
Michelle from the wonderful Fluttering Butterflies hosted for 2015!
The challenge was to read 12 books or more by authors from the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) over the course of the year, review them on my blog and link them up on the relevant monthly link up page.
Now, whilst I read 41 books by UK authors in 2015 I only got a chance to review 29 of these in total which therefore count towards the challenge!
Here are the books I read and reviewed that counted towards the challenge. You can click on the pictures to take you to the reviews!

I really enjoyed this challenge so much! I will definitely be taking part again in 2016!
I also signed up to the 2015 Classics Challenge which I thought was such a fab idea as I really wanted to read more classics!
Stacey from the wonderful Pretty Books hosted for 2015 and has been participating for a few years herself now!
The challenge was to read 12 classic books over the course of the year and review them on my blog!
Unfortunately I only managed to read 3 classic books over the course of the year and I failed to review these as part of the challenge 🙁
The 3 books I read were…..
This has made me more determined to read more classics in 2016!
Finally in November I decided to partake in NanoWriMo! It was a last minute decison. I only decided I was going to do it in the last couple of days in October. So with only a rough idea in my head that had been festering away for a few months I set about writing 50k words in one month (30 days) and ……
I did it! I wrote 50k words on one month! It was hard, and my blog and reading were a little neglected throughout the month but it was truly satisfying and I really enjoyed just writing everyday and going on a journey with my own characters!
I wrote a blog post about my NaNoWriMo journey here…a diary kind of showing my progress through NaNoWriMo here
I haven’t read any of what I wrote back to myself yet as I have just had to leave it be for December, but in 2016 I intend to finished writing One For Sorrow as well as reading it through and editing it.
I may even do NaNoWriMo again in November 2016! Watch this space!
Happy Reading
