Guest Post – Hot Boys In My Books by CJ Skuse
Today I have a super fun guest post from the one and only awesome CJ Skuse as part of the Monster Blog Tour!
Monster was released at the end of September 2015, published by Mira Ink. I am planning to read Monster in the next week or so especially over Halloween as it looks terrifyingly scary and brilliant! Plus CJ rocks! So what better reason is there?!
So I asked the lovely CJ what type of post she would like to do for Tales as part of the blog tour…you know something she may have been burning to share or had not written about yet or something fun and entertaining!
Well you guessed it! Of course we went for fun and entertaining!
All I’m going to say at this point is….enjoy xx
*hands over with pleasure to CJ*
At sixteen Nash thought that the fight to become Head Girl of prestigious boarding school Bathory would be the biggest battle she’d face. Until her brother’s disappearance leads to Nash being trapped at the school over Christmas with Bathory’s assorted misfits.
As a blizzard rages outside, strange things are afoot in the school’s hallways, and legends of the mysterious Beast of Bathory – a big cat rumoured to room the moors outside the school – run wild.
Yet when the girls’ Matron goes missing it’s clear that something altogether darker is to blame – and that they’ll have to stick together if they hope to survive.

FREDDIE STROMA as Charlie Gossard in ‘MONSTER’
I needed a hot blond guy so I Googled ‘hot blond actors/models’ and literally, his was the first face I saw.
GARRETT HEDLUND as Leon Pfaff in ‘MONSTER’
Again, not much thought put into this one. I Googled ‘hot serious-faced guy/dark hair/dangerous’ and it threw up a picture of him. I watched some films with him in and that voice, that VOICE. Criminally hot.
Jody loves Jackson Gatlin. At his only UK rock concert, she’s right at the front. But when she’s caught in the crush and carried back stage she has more than concussion to contend with. Throw in a menacing manager, a super-wired super-star, and a curly-wurly, and she finds herself taking home more than just a poster. It’s the accidental kidnapping of the decade. But what happens if you’ve a rock-god in your garage who doesn’t want to leave? Jody’s stuck between a rock-idol and a hard place!
ADAM LAMBERT as Mackenzie Lawless in ‘ROCKOHOLIC’
I’ve been a Glambert since he was robbed of the American Idol title. He’s perfect for Mac. I just get the impression that he would make a very good friend, who’d always tell you the truth. Total boyfriend material too (yeah I know, I know, I. KNOW.)
SETH GABEL as one third of Jackson Gatlin in ‘ROCKOHOLIC’
Seth had been Jackson in my head, ever since I saw him in the American show ‘Dirty, Sexy Money’. Then I saw 30 Seconds to Mars in concert and I was like ‘Oh my god, no, that’s Jackson.
GERARD WAY as the other third of Jackson Gatlin in ‘ROCKOHOLIC’
He was the original reason I wrote this story. I went to an MCR concert, didn’t get close to the front like I’d hoped, and went away feeling miserable and like the entire day queuing up outside had been an utter waste of time. I needed to feel better about it. Then BAM – a fictional kidnap was born!
Camille wants to find the perfect boy, with an athlete’s body and a poet’s brain. But when she’s mocked at a college party, she knows there isn’t a boy alive who’ll ever measure up. Enter Zoe, her brilliant but strange best friend, who takes biology homework to a whole new level. She can create Camille’s dream boy, Frankenstein-stylee. But can she make him love her?
GERARD WAY as Thomas Lutwyche, aka ‘The Mad Professor’ in ‘DEAD ROMANTIC’
Yeah I know Gerard Way again. He pops up again here as the mad professor dad. He’s dead though so he wasn’t like a main character this time. I saw Thomas as Gerard is in the MCR ‘I Don’t Love You’ video. Unspeakably beautiful but tantrummy and totally off his box.

JACK O’CONNELL as Damian de Jager in ‘DEAD ROMANTIC’
Hot and stupid yet with an undercurrent of vulnerability. I loved the idea of a slutty boy character who could have any girl he wanted, except the one who sees right through him. And this makes him want her more.
JOSH HUTCHERSON as Louis Burnett in ‘DEAD ROMANTIC’
There’s this little-known movie called ‘Detention’ which Josh acted in and executive produced and his strange dress sense and deer-in-the-headlights expression in the film reminds me so much of Louis, my weird little undertaker’s apprentice. I heart him most ardently.
SIXTEEN-YEAR OLD TWINS IN CANDY-STORE CRIME SPREE Twins, Paisley and Beau Argent are in the headlines again. Last time, they were the ‘wonder twins’, when as six-year-olds they were found alive in woods after three days missing following their mother’s death -three days spent looking for their dad. Now at sixteen, life’s not so wonderful. Out-cast and exploited by their money-grabbing grandmother they’re still clueless about their dad’s whereabouts. Until they discover an old letter from him. That’s when they decide to hit the road – and make headlines again. Holding up fast-food joints in Las Vegas might seem extreme but if they can get on the news, and tell their dad they need him, they might get the dream reunion they never thought could happen.
GERARD WAY as Beau Argent in ‘PRETTY BAD THINGS’
Yeah here he is again (I was young and obsessed, it happens) but Beau and Gerard are just inextricably linked in my head. I’ve always wanted a sensitive twin brother I could bully around. Early-Days-Non-Drunk-Gerard just fitted the bill.
And Finally…….
PUNK EDIT ASHTON IRWIN as Max Rittman in ‘THE DEVIANTS’
So you haven’t read The Deviants yet but when you do, you will know that Punk Edit Ashton Irwin, circa 2013, plays Max Rittman, my spoilt and lazy stoner bad boy.
